Music for Euthanasia Airports
I am very excited to be working on my 49th album tentatively called Music for Euthanasia Airports, that is to say music that makes for a pleasant exit mood to any death rebirth experience real or virtual.
For years I have reflected on a particular scene in the Sci Fi film Soylent Green which despite it's macabre sci fi theme does project a futuristic airport like establishment that provides a unique 'death with dignity option". If you strip away the movies underlying sinister plot and just look at what is being illustrated here you can imagine the forward thinking nature of the concept of choosing when to die on ones own terms.
Each of us will reach a moment in time when it will happen and for some it will not be made easy by a medical system that strives to prolong life despite agonizing and even vegetable-like states of mind that remain of the person that once was.
Without getting too political environmental music for this particular time in a person's lifetime endpoint may be appreciated and I am hoping this next album provides some excellent mood-enhancing optimism for those going towards that great transformation whatever one chooses to imagine it is.
